This is not Legal Advice or Representation. It is just a calm second voice when you are entering a situation where you feel overwhelmed, but yet you still want to handle things yourself.
Yes, we can be a witness. Someone else in the room. There's strength in numbers!
Many times we fill this role while being your Agent, Manager or Publicist. We are in your corner, fighting for you and making sure you receive the fair terms you desire.
As your Advocate, we bring the calm or strength into the room for you.
Please understand that as the role of the advocate we only advise. We try to make sure you aren't bullied into a contract you don't want to sign, but we are NOT your manager. If you decide to ignore our advice and sign, then all we can do is with you luck and hope for the best outcome.
Quite frankly, you'll be better off with us as your Manager or Manager/Agent. Then we have the total responsibility for negotiating the contracts and making sure all the issues are resolved. It leaves you far more time to work on the creative aspects of your talent instead of the tedious issues.
